About HSC 2026 Under the Dhaka Board
Dhaka is by far the largest education board. It has about 3 lakh candidates, nearly 24% of all HSC 2026 examinees. On 13 July 2026, heavy rain and waterlogging stopped many candidates from reaching their centres for Physics, Accounting and Logic 1st Paper. The board held a special exam on 24 August 2026 for candidates who had missed that day. Their marks are included in the same result, so the Dhaka board result was also published on the common result day.
On the English 1st Paper exam day (6 July 2026), the inter-board attendance report showed 2,82,160 registered candidates, 2,76,319 present and 5,841 absent (absence rate 2.07%) in this board.
HSC Result 2026 Dhaka Board Date
The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee published an official press release on 27 October 2026 (memo no. ঢাবো/পনি/৮৬৮). The HSC and equivalent exam 2026 results were published on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 11:00 AM at a ceremony at the International Mother Language Institute, Dhaka. As soon as the ceremony starts, the results of all boards, including the Dhaka Board, became available online, by SMS and from each institution at the same time. No results will be given out at the education boards, the education ministry or newspaper offices. The date was earlier announced as 29 October and changed on 27 October. HSC 2026: The Dhaka Board recorded a pass rate of 61.80% (2025: 64.62%), 2.82 percentage points lower, ranking 1st of the 11 boards. 16,714 students got GPA-5 (2025: 26,063). Nationally the pass rate was 52.12% and 40,084 students got GPA-5.
In 2025 the national pass rate was 58.83%. The Dhaka Board was above the national average at 64.62%, a change of -14.59 percentage points from 2024. The Dhaka Board produced 26,063 GPA-5 in 2025, 37.7% of the national total of 69,097.

HSC 2026 Re-scrutiny (Dhaka Board)
If you think your marks are wrong, you can apply for re-scrutiny (answer-script review). According to the press release, online applications will be accepted from 1 to 7 November 2026, and the process will be published on the boards’ websites. In 2025 it was online only at rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd, with a fee of Tk 150 per paper. Select the Dhaka board, enter your roll and registration, choose the subjects (both papers for two-paper subjects) and pay. The Dhaka Board publishes the re-scrutiny result on its website, dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd.
